Meet our team

Management

Jill

Founder

Jill is the “original tutor” and lead consultant. She has several degrees, and has been tutoring, training, leading, and teaching for over 35 years. The past 13 years have been dedicated to full-time tutoring. She has a passion for teaching and has helped many students  meet their post-secondary goals. She is the Lead Educational Consultant, and provides career testing, and admission counselling to students grade 9-12 and post-secondary. When she isn’t managing the company, or working with students, she loves to read and spend time with her two grandchildren. 

John

Operations Manager

John is the Operations Manager for EdMasters. He has 30 plus years as a business owner and entrepreneur. He has education in Business Administration, HR Management and mentorship of supervisors and managers. John has a proven track record of running very successful businesses, in a variety of different scopes. He has recently completed studies and apprenticeship in Project Management.

Ashley

Admin

Ashley works part time with EDMasters as the person behind the scenes. Her role is Admin and Payroll. In her full time job she is a Career and Employment Consultant with the Government. Ashley has a degree from St. Mary’s University in Criminology and Psychology and she  has a background in Nonprofit Management. When Ashley isn’t working she spends time with her two growing kids and her fur babies.

Tanushree

Tutor

Tanushree is an educator and industry enthusiast from Calgary, AB, with over a decade of experience in Business Management, hospitality, tourism, and instructional design. She has a PhD in Business Administration.  She is passionate about creating engaging learning experiences and mentoring students as they explore the exciting world of learning. When Tanushree is not teaching, you'll find her curled up with a good book or getting crafty with various projects. She loves expressing my creativity and inspiring others to embrace learning and pursue their passions!

Anshdeep

Tutor

Anshdeep Singh is a final-year Software Engineering masters student at the University of Calgary, with over three years of experience as a Teaching Assistant for computer science courses. In addition, he has tutored grade 11-12 students in subjects like math, computer science, and physics. His approach to tutoring focuses on simplifying complex topics, fostering a deep understanding, and building confidence in his students.

Outside of academics, Anshdeep enjoys staying active by working out at the gym and hiking. In his free time, he has a passion for learning about space, astrophysics, and time travel. He is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge and helping students achieve their academic goals.

Tatheer

Tutor

 Tatheer is a graduate from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. In her free time, she loves to read, bake and travel! She loves to tutor and has been working as one for over 4 years. Tatheer is passionate about helping students through their educational struggles and helping them achieve success in their endeavours. She has experience teaching various subjects including social, English, math and science at various levels. I aim to tailor strategies and methods for the needs of the student to best help them. I look forward to working with you!

Meagan

Tutor

Meagan is a final-year Environmental Chemistry student at the University of Calgary, with a strong passion for science. Alongside her studies, she tutors students in STEM subjects, helping them develop problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of scientific concepts. When Meagan is not busy with her studies or tutoring she enjoys spending her time in the mountains. Meagan has developed patience, discipline, and a strong work ethic, qualities that complement her academic pursuits. She is dedicated to applying her chemistry knowledge to address environmental challenges and to inspiring her students to share her passion for learning and discovery.

Miko

Tutor

Miko is a Computer Science student at Mount Royal University, combining his love for technology with a dedication to helping others learn. Skilled in programming, algorithms, and problem-solving, he enjoys breaking down complex topics into simple, relatable concepts for students. With a strong background in mathematics, problem-solving, and a passion for data science, Miko strives to make learning both engaging and approachable. He is committed to inspiring curiosity in others and fostering a supportive learning environment. Miko looks forward to further developing his skills while guiding students on their educational journeys.

Theodore

Tutor

Theodore is currently a student at Ambrose University, working towards a Bachelor of

Education. He also holds a BA in Political Science and two certifications in Teaching English as

a Foreign Language. Prior to deciding to be a teacher, Theo spent his time supporting students

in other ways such as working in co-operative education at the University of Calgary and

teaching English just outside of Barcelona. He enjoys being physically active, taking in art, being

civically engaged, and reinvigorating kids love for learning. He looks forward to supporting your

kid in the development of their academic skills and the establishment of a lifelong love of all

things expressive.

Isabella

Tutor

Isabella is in her final year at the University of Calgary, completing a Dual BA in International Relations and Political Science. In her free time, she enjoys doing photography and loves to explore her creative side. She is passionate about tutoring and has specialized expertise in high school social studies and English. Isabella is also dedicated to working with younger students in early education, especially those with neurodiverse learning needs, including but not limited to ADHD and autism. With a patient and adaptable teaching approach, she aims to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for students of all backgrounds and abilities, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic goals.

Manvi

Tutor

Manvi graduated from the University of Calgary with a B.Sc. in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology in 2024. She has extensive experience tutoring students K-12 in nearly all subject areas, but she is particularly passionate about helping students with English (up to 30-AP level) and Biology (up to 30-AP level). As a tutor, Manvi is dedicated to creating a space where her students feel comfortable and supported. 

She aims to guide her students through their questions and mistakes, helping them progress toward both their academic and personal goals.

Vihari

Tutor

Vihari is a 4th year student at the University of Calgary currently working towards completing his undergrad as a double major in BComm Finance & BSc Computer Science. As a lifetime learner, he aims to inspire the same curiosity and enthusiasm that he has for learning into the next generation of students. Vihari specializes in tutoring junior high and high school students, primarily in Math and Science, while also offering guidance in English and Social Studies. When he’s not studying or teaching, he enjoys staying active and embraces every opportunity to play a sport or be outdoors.

Judy

Tutor

Judy Lyoness has been tutoring since she was in Grade 12. After getting her Bachelor of

Arts at Brock University in Ontario, Judy migrated to British Columbia where she raised three

children and began her teaching career. She went on to get a Master’s degree in education at the University of Calgary. Judy taught English, French, and Social Studies for over twenty years to elementary and high school students. In 2009, she left teaching to pursue a dream to offer tutoring services to anyone needing help with learning. She spent 14 years at Thompson Rivers University assisting post-secondary student receive upgrading and tutoring help in English, Math, and many other subjects. Judy has trained in the Orton-Gillingham method for helping students learn to read better and in the Vantage Vision program for helping those with uncoordinated vision. Danielle

Tutor

Danielle Rivard is an Applied Mathematics and Engineering graduate from Queen’s University with a specialization in Systems and Robotics. Passionate about teaching, she enjoys tutoring science and math topics for students from grade school through first-year university. She is also passionate about introducing younger students to computer science, inspiring and guiding those interested in pursuing it further. With three years of tutoring experience, Danielle is fascinated by the variety of learning styles and tailors her approach to meet each student’s unique needs and abilities. She is excited to help students navigate topics they struggle with to achieve their highest potential.

Pearl

Pearl Vadakkan is a fourth-year medical student at St. Matthew's University, where she is actively pursuing her medical degree. Her passion for teaching began during her undergraduate years, and it has evolved into a commitment to mentoring medical students. As an aspiring medical school tutor, Pearl focuses on creating personalized learning experiences that cater to the individual needs of each student, ensuring they not only succeed academically but also develop a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Her approach combines empathy, expertise, and dedication to fostering student success.

Tutor

Precious Ebite Azun is an experienced STEM tutor and educator currently pursuing a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Calgary, where he is conducting research in neurological diseases, such as stroke recovery and aphasia. With over eight years of tutoring experience in biology, physics, and introductory chemistry for middle and high school students, Precious brings expertise and a passion for helping students excel in science. His tailored, supportive approach makes challenging topics accessible, empowering students to build confidence and reach their academic potential in STEM fields.

Tina

Tutor

Tina graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. She tutors students from kindergarten to grade 12, in subjects like social studies, English Language Arts, biology, and mathematics. As a native French speaker, she is uniquely equipped to offer tutoring services for French Immersion students. From her years of experience as a tutor, Tina knows that learning is anything but a “one size fits all” experience and she enjoys using her skills to help empower students on their academic journeys. In her free time, she enjoys reading, travelling and learning new languages.

Priya graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. Her passion for teaching began early in my career as a swim instructor assistant, and it has steadily grown over the years. She understands that each child possesses unique strengths and weaknesses, making it essential to identify these characteristics and develop personalized learning strategies tailored to individual needs. Having collaborated with researchers on implementing curriculums focused on mental health literacy, Priya recognizes the challenges associated with trying new approaches. Consequently, she is committed to fostering an environment where students feel comfortable, supported, and empowered to grow. Priya is eager to share my knowledge and assist students in achieving their academic objectives.

Megan

Tutor

Megan is a recent graduate from the University of Calgary, with a degree in Sociocultural Anthropology. When she’s not teaching swimming lessons, you can usually find her reading a new fantasy series or starting a new crochet project. Although she’s relatively new to tutoring, she has over six years of experience in teaching people of all ages how to swim. She is passionate about teaching and tutoring, particularly in social studies and STEM subjects. Megan is incredibly patient and kind, but also firm, with a strong work ethic. She is excited to utilize her experience both in the classroom and the pool to share her love of learning.
